RUNNING INJURIES
. . . are assessed using a combination of:
- Full video gait analysis on a treadmill or in the park if appropriate
- Full biomechanical assessment
- Assessment of core stability and muscle imbalance
The aim is to find the cause of the problem and not just treat the injury itself. Thereby giving a long term outcome and help preventing further injuries.
Common problems seen in runners which can be effectively treated with Physiotherapy . . .
- Achilles Tendonitis
- Runner knee
- ITB syndrome
- Lower back pain
- Ankle problems.
